If you ever wanted to move to a place where there is always something going on that you can see or do, then Baltimore, Maryland may be that state for you. Baltimore is brimming with several museums, cultural centers, restaurants and a diverse nightlife that is sure to make you glad that you have moved there. New residents can choose to live in the city or they can opt for the suburbs. If you choose to live in the city you will find that commuting isn’t stressful at all since you are far away from highways which can become congested. City living also gives you the opportunity to walk rather than drive to some of the attractions that are in here. You have the option to rent or own a home in Maryland which consists of a condo, apartment or a three storied family house.
The houses here are not large at all, especially if you have selected to live in the city. So if you hire a moving company in Baltimore it may be up for a challenge when they try to fit your household items in your new home especially if you have moved with a lot of items. The architecture style in the city houses is of an old fashioned type and living in Baltimore could prove to be a problem for those who are moving with children as most of the homes do not have a yard for which the children can play. Public transportation is excellent for downtown residents but parking is really bad and this can impede progress for the movers on moving day. If you must live in the city and you desire a home with ample yard space, then you should choose areas like Federal Hill and Patterson Park and Canton to name a few since these are homes that are closer to the shoreline.
Suburban living in Baltimore is a big contrast to living in the city and the homes there boast of having modern architecture and are larger in size too. The schools in suburban Baltimore have a great success rate and rank very high over schools in other districts. It is quite easy to get a bus to take you wherever you want to go since the buses run on schedule, but the journey to the city can be a very long one. So unless you want to get to work late, it’s best that you either car pool or catch an earlier bus to get to your destination. Also expect to encounter traffic on the way to the malls and department stores which are also close by.
